Three Men Caught and Arrested For Smuggling 1500 Pounds of Marijuana

Three Mexican Nationals were arrested and a fourth suspect escaped when authorities searched an upscale beach area and discovered 1200-1500 pounds of marijuana from a Mexican Panga boat.

The boat was spotted off point Dume at about 1 a.m. on Saturday January 28, 2012.

Authorities have intercepted half a dozen boats attempting to smuggle drugs into Los Angeles and Orange counties since last summer.
